Living in the Midwest, I’m always skeptical when it comes to fish. Salmon is one of the few that I enjoy, but I never knew which cooking method would taste best. With enough experimenting, I’ve finally put together my favorite salmon recipe! It’s tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Not to mention, it's a great source of vitamins and protein! Your body will definitely thank you.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb fresh salmon (about two filets)
2 lemons (one sliced)
2 sprigs of Rosemary
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp lemon pepper
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Rub salmon with olive oil, then coat with all your seasonings.
Squeeze a little lemon juice over the top, then add a sprig of rosemary and lemon slices.
On a baking sheet, place salmon on a piece of aluminum foil. Wrap loosely. You want it to be sealed, but tented up enough so it’s not entirely touching the salmon.
Bake for 5-6 minutes.
*Remove salmon from the oven, and transfer to the air fryer.
Air fry at 350 for an additional 3-4 minutes, uncovered.
*This step is totally optional, I just prefer to cook it the rest of the way in the air fryer! You can stick to the oven- just continue baking for an additional 4-5 minutes.
Squeeze a little more lemon juice on top, and serve!
