This is one of the easiest recipes you'll ever make. Crispy chicken and melty cheese, smothered in tangy white barbeque sauce- it's perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
If you're feeling extra, you can make your own white barbecue sauce for this recipe. Since I'm a simpleton, I ordered this sauce from Amazon. I'll post the link down below!
INGREDIENTS:
2 boneless chicken breasts
4 sub buns
1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
1/3 cup white barbecue sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS:
In a gallon zip lock bag, shake chicken with the spices.
Cook chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side, until crispy. Set aside.
Once chicken is cooled, chop into 1” pieces.
In a small bowl, mix together chopped chicken and barbecue sauce.
On a large sheet pan, place partially opened buns and spoon in the chicken mixture.
Sprinkle with cheese and broil for 5 minutes, until cheese starts to brown.
Drizzle some more sauce over the top when finished, if desired!
