There's no wrong way to make a taco, and these Thai sweet chili tacos are no exception! Warm tortillas filled with tender, juicy shrimp and a refreshing Asian slaw, this taco recipe is anything but boring. Easy ingredients, and less than 15 minutes to make- it's the perfect way to switch up your next #tacotuesday!
SHRIMP INGREDIENTS:
1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 lime, juiced
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp minced onion
2 tbsp Thai sweet chili sauce
salt and pepper
tortillas for serving
SLAW INGREDIENTS:
1 16 oz bag cole slaw
4 green onions, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp honey
*Set aside extra Thai chili sauce for garnish.
DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl, whisk together the marinade for the shrimp, toss in shrimp and fully coat.
On medium high heat, cook shrimp for 4-5 minutes per side, or until slight browning occurs.
For the slaw, toss all ingredients together in a shallow bowl.
Assemble your tacos, and garnish with green onion, a drizzle of Thai sweet chili sauce, and an extra squeeze of lime!
I prefer to heat my tortillas before serving at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes!
