TANDOORI CHICKEN BURGERS

I’m always down for trying out new flavors, and these tandoori chicken burgers were exactly what I was searching for. Packed with flavor, and perfect for meal prep. They’re spicy and sweet, and served on the fluffiest naan bread. Absolutely delicious!


INGREDIENTS:

For the burgers:

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 3 green onions, chopped

  • 2 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp cumin

  • 1 tbsp minced onion

  • 1 teaspoon coriander

  • 1 teaspoon yellow curry powder

  • Salt and pepper

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (traditional) or sour cream (I prefer sour cream because it’s less tart)

  • 2 tbsp dill

  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped

  • Squeeze of lemon juice

Red onion and cucumber for garnish

Naan bread for serving


DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large skillet (I used my cast iron), heat 1 tbsp oil over medium high heat.

  2. Mix all the burger ingredients together, and form into patties about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. Cook for 5-6 minutes per side.

  4. Mix sauce ingredients together, and spoon over burgers.

  5. Top with thinly sliced red onion and cucumbers. Serve on warm naan bread, and enjoy!
